26 Promotions – Lima, OH – (May 23, 2019) – JD Brown raced to his first victory with the NORA UMP Modifieds Tuesday night at Limaland Motorsports Park.

Brown advanced to the point on Lap 64 after race leader Cory Whitworth, who had led the previous 48 revolutions, made contact with the outside wall. Brown extended his lead to just under a full second as Whitworth, Cody Batten, and Randall Carter battled it out three wide for second.

Whitworth would win the battle for the runner-up position with Batten completing the podium. Carter and Patrick Solari rounded out the top-five finishers. Coy Pennington finished sixth, Trey Schmidt crossed the line in seventh from 15th, Jason Mynatt was eighth from 16th, Aiden Purdue took ninth with Tyler Chalk finishing out the top ten.

JD Brown set a new track record in qualifying with a lap of 12.833 seconds. Shane Evans scored his fourth heat race win, Cody Batten netted his second, Blake Garrett grabbed his first, and Cory Whitworth rounded out the heat race winners with his fourth of the season.

The NORA Dirt Series is back in action on Tuesday night with the Midgets tackling Limaland Motorsports Park.
