26 Promotions – Casa Grande, AZ – (March 7, 2019) – Dale Eliason Jr raced to his second top-five finish in as many races Saturday at Central Arizona Speedway’s Cotton Classic.
“Our night started with a 34 in pill draw which put us on the outside of the second row in the second heat,” explained Eliason Jr. “The track was hard to judge as it was taking rubber in the middle, but the bottom still had moisture. We weren’t able to gain any ground as the car wasn’t set up for the track conditions.”
Eliason Jr’s fourth-place finish in his heat would place him eleventh on the grid for the start of the feature event.
“We made multiple adjustments on the car,” he said. “I was able to make my way through the pack with cautions on my side and other cars trying to win on the first lap to finish in fifth.”
