26 Promotions – Lake Havasu City, AZ – (October 31, 2018) – Blake Rogers charged from the tail of the field, after a motor failure, to close out the Lucas Oil Modified Series championship season with a top-ten finish at Havasu 95 Speedway.

“We started off the weekend really good, we were sixth fast on very old tires and went out for our second practice when the motor started clunking,” explained Rogers. “We diagnosed the problem as a broken roller lifter. We were able to put a loaned Arce Racing Engine in but missed qualifying.”

With no qualifying time recorded, Rogers would line up 17th for the start of the 100-lap Hoosier Tire Championship 100.

“The car was very good the whole race, and we made our way to eighth,” said Rogers. “With a couple more laps I probably could have had a top-six. I’m happy with the number of positions we gained especially with only one caution on a one groove track. It has been a great season, and I’m so thankful for everything my parents have done and my sponsors for all their support. Our car is for sale, and we aren’t sure what is going to happen next season, but I’m hoping to get a chance to race again next year.”

Rogers ends the Lucas Oil Modified championship season with two top-five and seven top-ten finishes.

Blake Rogers would like to thank Lucas Oil, FIRM Inc., MGM Design, Jacks Auto Parts, Mitchell’s Merchant Patrol, Pacesetter Home Centers, Arce Race Engines, Dune Company of Yuma, Big W Sales, and Super Clean for their support this season.
