26 Promotions – Casa Grande, AZ – (October 30, 2018) – Dale Eliason Jr. scored his 12th top-five finish of the year Saturday at Central Arizona Speedway as he continues his march towards his first Power 600 Series championship.

“After being out of the car for six weeks and coming off dismal performances the last two races it was a priority to come back to Central Arizona Speedway on our A game and ready to perform,” said Eliason Jr. “My dad wanted to try a few new setup changes sharing notes with the EMR crew. He felt we had a good setup but the track would be the true gage of that.”

Eliason Jr. kicked off Howl-O-Ween with a front row starting spot in his heat race.

“We started with a 25 in pill draw that ended up putting us on the outside of the front row for the second heat,” said Eliason Jr. “I was able to get the holeshot on the leader and held on to the lead for the rest of the heat race.”

The Iceman’s heat race victory would line him up on the inside of the third row for the start of the 25-lap feature.

“This was the most challenging track conditions that I think I’ve ever raced on, turn one, and two was dry slick, and three and four was tacky,” he explained. “I was able to protect the bottom on the start, moving up to fourth. We had a few on-track incidents, one avoiding a potentially damaging wreck by doing a couple of 360’s after the caution flew from someone else spinning out. After the restart, I was able to make my move into third with ten to go and then followed the second-place car around the leader on a green, white, checker to move into second on the last lap.”

Eliason Jr’s second-place run will extend his lead in the Power 600 Series standings as the series heads into its final two events on November 16th and 17th at Central Arizona Speedway.

Dale Eliason Jr would like to thank Affordable Powder Coatings & Affordable Extreme Coatings, Custom Caretaking Plus INC, Guhl Motors, Industrial Machinery Services, PMP Chassis, Hamblin Motorsports, Radical Race Gear, and T & K Repair for their continued support.
