26 Promotions – Peoria, AZ – (October 25, 2018) – Tye Mihocko scored two victories on Saturday as he piloted the Streaker Racing Non-Wing Micro and his family owned USAC 360 Sprint Car with the Southwest Sprint Car Series at Canyon Speedway Park.

Mihocko kicked off the night in the Non-Wing Micro Sprint starting fourth in his heat. The Bull would go on to lead every lap of heat two but drove passed the scales on the way to his pit causing him to have to tag the field for the start of the 20-lap feature.

“I knew I had to be careful getting around the field, but I couldn’t waste any time doing so. I picked some cars off when I could and made the most of the restarts we had. We were able to run side by side with Mason Keefer and exchanged the lead a couple of times and were able to go on to win,” he explained. “It felt great being able to do what I was asked to do for a couple of really great people. I was glad to be able to get the opportunity to have some fun with the Martin’s and can’t thank them enough.”

Switching gears to the Sprint Car, Mihocko raced from seventh to third in his heat but missed the qualifier due to a fuel line slipping off a fitting. Mihocko would start on the inside of the third row for the start of the 30-lap USAC Southwest Sprint Car Series feature event.

“I took my time getting through the field and again made the most of the restarts that we were given,” said Mihocko. “It’s unfortunate that we got a win from the leader crashing, but that gave us an opportunity to take the lead off of a green, white, checkered restart. I was able to get a good jump on Mike Martin on the restart and got around him through turns one and two and just had to hang on for two and a half laps.”

Mihocko now has two wins, 14 top-five, and 15 top-ten finishes with the USAC Southwest Sprint Car Series this year.

The Bull is back in action on Saturday with the USAC Southwest Sprint Cars at Central Arizona Speedway.

Tye Mihocko would like to thank Mears Mechanical, Dave Wilson Reality, Michael Most Trucking, All-Star Catering, Five Star Engines, Red Beard Composites, The Race Shack, and Paint by Steve for their continued support
