26 Promotions – Yuma, AZ – (October 25, 2018) – Blake Rogers is on the hunt for his first Lucas Oil Modified Series victory as the series returns to the track that produced his best finish of the season.

Havasu 95 Speedway might present Rogers with his best opportunity to score his first career Lucas Oil Modified Series win, Rogers earned a fourth-place finish at the season-opening race back in March and has laid down hundreds of laps around the quarter-mile oval growing up in the Bandolero and Legend divisions.

“Running Bandoleros and Legends at Havasu is a big advantage to me because I have a better understanding of the track. I think that has shown in my racing, every time we go to Havasu I get excited because I know we have a shot for the win,” he explained. “We can’t really take much away from the race in March, as it was rained out and run during the day on Sunday. The track was slicker than usual because of the heat, but Havasu is always loose towards the end of the race, actually like halfway in the race, because it eats up tires.”

Rogers knows that a chance to end the night in victory lane starts with Saturday afternoon’s qualifying session, but he believes with a good starting position he has the car, driving style, and experience needed to secure a victory this weekend.

“My expectation is a top three this weekend. If we can get a good qualifying position I have no doubt we will be a contender for the win,” he said. “Just like all the other tracks, you have to have drive off and be able to rotate the corners. With the track being so hard on tires we’ll have to conserve as much as possible without giving up any positions. If we can do that we’ll have a good shot at a top three or maybe even a win.”

The Hoosier Tire Championship 100 presented by Downforce Racing Products kicks off with practice on Friday night followed qualifying, a trophy dash and the 100-lap Lucas Oil Modified Series main event on Saturday.

Blake Rogers would like to thank Lucas Oil, FIRM Inc., MGM Design, Jacks Auto Parts, Mitchell’s Merchant Patrol, Pacesetter Home Centers, Arce Race Engines, Dune Company of Yuma, Big W Sales, and Super Clean for their continued support.
