26 Promotions – Peoria, AZ – (September 27, 2018) – Paul Martin earned two top-ten finishes, including a podium result, over the weekend at Canyon Speedway Park.

Martins weekend kicked off on Friday night where he started and finished second in his heat, making the feature redraw. Martin drew the five placing him on the inside of the third row for the start of the 20-lap feature.

“We had a good run on Friday,” said Martin. “We had a strong run up to second in the feature before a hiccup caused us to fall back to sixth. We later found the fuel regulator had come loose, leaning the mixture.”

Saturday saw Martin finish fourth from second in his heat, missing the redraw and starting eighth for the feature event.

“The car didn’t feel like I wanted it to on Friday, so I mounted a new right rear tire, and that made all the difference,” explained Martin. “We nailed the setup and were up to fourth by half-way. We had a few cautions which voided a couple passes, but I found myself in third with five to go.”

Martin finished the night on the podium taking home a third-place finish and continues to lead the CSP Micro Sprints championship standings with a 16-point advantage over second-place.

“Thank you to all my partners, family, and friends for all the support,” said Martin. “Special thanks to Michael Lapp for all your help this weekend.”

Martin is back in action with the winged micro sprints as part of Arizona Speedway’s Hall of Fame Classic on Friday and Saturday.

Paul Martin would like to thank Optiv Security Consultants, Hilton Glass, Prestige Realty, Don Jose’ Mexican Food, Forterra Pipe & Precast, ARC Powder Coating, Memory Lane Customs, MGI Motorsports, Steffey Excavating, #97JusticeforMakayla for their continued support.
