26 Promotions – Casa Grande, AZ – (September 13, 2018) – Jarrett Martin scored his seventh micro sprint feature win of the season, his third with the Power 600 Series, on Saturday night at Central Arizona Speedway.

“We rolled into Central Arizona Speedway on Saturday night knowing we had a solid chance to take the win but also that there was going to be some stiff competition,” he said. “I took a walk around the track early, and I figured that if they were to throw some water on it before we pack that it would be in good shape at least for the heats.”

Martin would pick up two positions in his heat race, going from fifth to third, earning enough points to make the six-car invert placing him on the inside of the second row for the start of the feature event.

“We left the car almost the same for the feature because I was hoping the track would come right to us,” he explained. “I knew it would be important to get to the front as early as possible because the track was going to be fast and it was only going to get hard to make something happen.”

Martin took the lead on lap two and began to hit lap traffic around lap eight.

“The brakes in the car had gone about all the way out at that point, so it kind of made lap cars a challenge,” he said. “The first yellow came out, and I knew I had to get a good start because the 41 was behind me. After the restart, I picked up the pace a little bit to try to get as much of a gap as I could before we hit lap cars again. Through another couple yellows and some interesting lap traffic, we held onto the lead and took the win.”

Martin now has seven wins and 14 top-five finishes in micro sprint competition this year.

Martin will be in action this weekend in the Steve Stone Racing number 57 with the ASCS Southwest Region at Arizona Speedway.

Jarrett Martin would like to thank Streaker Racing, K Corp, Pace Chassis, My Race Pass, Paint by Steve, The Race Shack, and Bell Helmets for their continued support.
