26 Promotions – Casa Grande, AZ – (September 13, 2018) – Dale Eliason Jr scored his 11th top-ten finish of the year with the Power 600 Series Saturday night at Central Arizona Speedway’s American Heroes race.

“I pulled 22 in pill draw, which put us on the outside of the second row in the first heat,” said Eliason Jr. “Due to a low car count the track decided to let the modlites run on the small track, and by the end of hot laps dust was kicking up on the front stretch and going into turn one, but the rest of the track was the heaviest it’s ever been. We left the normal setup in the car anyways, and after battling back and forth for third, I was able to make my way up to first to win the heat.”

Eliason Jr’s fourth to first advancement in the heat would make him the high point earner, placing him on the outside of the third row for the start on the 20-lap feature.

“My dad and I decided to make a few adjustments on the car for the main not knowing until the last minute that they watered the front stretch, turn one and rolled in the track. The car was really tight for the first half of the race, but we still managed to get up to third just before halfway and were running there holding our own when we came up on laps cars with three to go,” he explained. “I went to pass the lap car, and I thought I had him cleared going into turn one when he came down on me, and my right rear hopped his left rear when the car landed it snapped the right rear torsion bar adjuster off the car. Luckily, I was up front and was able to nurse it to a seventh-place finish.”

Eliason Jr will have the next six weekends off from racing and will be back in action on October 27th at Central Arizona Speedway for the Howl-O-Ween Bash.

Dale Eliason Jr would like to thank Affordable Powder Coatings & Affordable Extreme Coatings, Custom Caretaking Plus INC, Guhl Motors, Industrial Machinery Services, PMP Chassis, Hamblin Motorsports, Radical Race Gear, and T & K Repair for their continued support.
