Mechanical Issues End Jake Kruse’s Season Debut Early

26 Promotions – Casa Grande, AZ – (September 6, 2018) – Jake Kruse made his 2018 season debut with the Pure Stock division on Sunday night at Central Arizona Speedway’s Hank Arnold Memorial.

“We didn’t have to draw for a pill due to the point average setup,” explained Kruse. “We started on the inside of the fourth row in heat one and the car was running well until we got together with another car causing the temperature to spike. The car got a little too hot for my liking, so I decided to pull off and not push it.”

Kruse’s seventh-place finish in his heat would line him up ninth for the start of the pure stock feature event.

“The green flag went down, and we ran a lap before the lights in the car started to flicker,” he explained. “It turns out the battery was starting to die, so I pulled it off to get it back to the trailer before it completely died. It’s not what we wanted, but that’s racing. The car is in one piece, and that’s all that matters.”

Kruse officially finished Sunday’s feature in ninth.

He will be back in action with the pure stocks on September 15th at Arizona Speedway.

Jake Kruse would like to thank S and S Paving and Construction, Nightmare Motorsports, and Crawford Auto for their continued support.
