26 Promotions – Show Low, AZ – (August 1, 2018) – Brandon Sutton scored his third and fourth top-five finishes of the year this weekend at Show Low Speedway Park’s Arizona vs. New Mexico Challenge.
“We had a pretty good weekend in Show Low,” he said. “We hadn’t run with the wings on in a while, but we were able to charge from seventh to second in our heat race.”
Sutton’s second place finish in his heat would line him up fourth for the start of Friday night's 20-lap Micro Sprint feature.
Sutton ran most of the race in third to pick up his third podium finish of the year.
Running without the wings on Saturday, Sutton gained one position in his heat, going from fifth to fourth, placing him tenth on the grid for the start of the feature.
“We fell back a few spots on the initial start,” explained Sutton. “But we were able to work our way back up to fifth. I can’t thank my sponsors enough for their help in getting me to the track week in and week out.”
Sutton now has one win, four top five and six top-ten finishes this season.
Sutton is currently scheduled to be back in action on Friday and Saturday at Show Low Speedway Park with the Non-Wing Micro Sprints.
