26 Promotions – Sitka, KY – (July 31, 2018) – Michael Mcvey scored his third KDRA Super Stock top-ten finish of the year Saturday at 201 Speedway.
Mcvey’s night got off to a rocky start as motor issues ended his heat race early.
“We hot lapped great and then went out for the heat where we rolled off sixth,” he explained. “We took the green and made two laps, and then the motor popped and shut down. We got back down into the pits and found the distributor cap had come loose. We popped it back on, and we were ready for the Main.”
Starting ninth in the KDRA Super Stock feature, Mcvey worked his way up to a sixth-place finish to close out an eventful night.
Mcvey now has two top-five and three top-ten finishes this season.
He will be back in action with the KDRA Super Stocks on August 4th at 201 Speedway.
