26 Promotions – Salt Lake City, UT – (July 25, 2018) – Blake Rogers earned his second consecutive top-ten finish Saturday night at Rocky Mountain Raceways.

“We had a good run in Salt Lake City after a rough qualifying effort,” said Rogers. “We had good speed on old tires Saturday, and with new tires, we were on pace for a top-ten qualifying spot, but the car got really tight on us from a loss of stagger that somehow happened.”

Rogers qualified 14th placing him on the outside of the seventh row for the start of the 75-lap feature.

“After about an hour-and-a-half rain delay, we took the green flag and a caution flew on lap four,” Rogers explained. “On the cone, we took the shortest line every time and soon found ourselves in eighth. We battled for seventh for a while and finally made the pass. A caution came out, and we grabbed sixth on the restart. We used up the right rear tire pretty good from having to battle from mid-pack to the front, but I’m very happy with how our race went after such a disappointing qualifying effort.”

After his sixth-place result on Saturday, Rogers looks to carry the momentum of his last two top-ten finishes when the Lucas Oil Modified Series resumes on August 18th at Irwindale Speedway.

Blake Rogers would like to thank Lucas Oil, FIRM Inc., MGM Design, Jacks Auto Parts, Mitchell’s Merchant Patrol, Pacesetter Home Centers, Arce Race Engines, Dune Company of Yuma, Big W Sales, and Super Clean for their continued support.
