26 Promotions – Casa Grande, AZ – (July 19, 2018) – Zachary Madrid raced from fifth to score his fourth Modified feature win of the year Saturday at Central Arizona Speedway.

Madrid's night kicked off with heat race action where he’d start from the inside of the third row.

“We went green and got to third very quick,” he explained. “I had to work past second and once we were able to do that the leader had a straightaway advantage. We were able to run him down, and I did a crossover move to take the lead with one to go.”

Madrid's heat race win locked him into the feature invert, placing him on the inside of the third-row for the start of the 20-lap event.

“We jumped to the lead within the first lap,” he said. “I got pressured by Jeremy Thornton, but once he showed me the line, I didn’t see anyone else and led from there on out.”

Madrid now has four Modified victories to go with his four in a Sprint Car; he has also accumulated 15 top-five and 27 top-ten finishes this season.

Madrid will have rest of July and the entire month of August off as he prepares his IMCA Modified for the IMCA Super Nationals in Boone, Iowa September 3rd through the 8th.

Zachary Madrid would like to thank American Flowtech, MDM Accounting, Arizona Differential, Sunoco Race Fuels, Martin Auto Museum, RJR, WSM Auctioneers, Madrid Motorsports, F. Susan McGinnis Attorney at Law, and Larry Shaw Race Cars for their continued support.
