26 Promotions – Casa Grande, AZ – (June 6, 2018) – Dale Eliason Jr’s streak of finishing within the top-five extended to nine straight races on Saturday at Central Arizona Speedway.

The Iceman charged from fourth to second in the third and final Non-Wing Micro Sprint heat race of the night having the fastest lap times of the 3 heat races. Eliason Jr earned enough passing points to make the six-car invert, lining up on the inside of the second row for the start of the feature event.

“The track was the complete opposite of what we thought it would be for the feature,” Eliason Jr explained. “We didn’t realize that they watered the track before we went out and it slicked over. Our normal main event setup would prove to be less than effective and we struggled on our starts because the car in front of me was having a hard time getting going and the car behind us was pushing on my back bumper making it even harder to make any forward progress. But, I was able to hold my position for most of the race until a fellow racer pushed me up the track, losing third to finish fourth.”

Eliason Jr now has four wins and nine top-five finishes this year in nine races.

“We were able to make some good progress with the setup on the blue and white car,” said Eliason Jr, “But, I am definitely looking forward to getting back into the black and silver car for the next winged race knowing that we have won four races with that car already this season.”

Eliason Jr holds a commanding lead in the Power 600 Series standings and returns to action on July 14th for the Summer Shootout at Central Arizona Speedway.
