26 Promotions – Yuma, AZ – (June 6, 2018) – While some of his other competitors might have this weekend circled on their calendars, Madera Speedway has not been kind to Blake Rogers in recent years.

“In our first couple of years in the series, we struggled at Madera with the car always being too tight for the race,” explained Rogers. “Last year we had our best finish of sixth in the June race, and even then, the car was not the best. We returned in October, and we were running second and got wrecked hard into the wall destroying our car.”

Rogers enters this weekend focused on turning things around at the fast one-third mile oval.

“Madera has a lot of grip and tight turns, so this weekend we will be focused on making sure we have good drive off, and we also don’t want to be tight which is what we’ve constantly struggled with there,” said Rogers. “I’ve never run an STR Chassis at Madera, so I’m looking forward to that and seeing how the EFI works on this one-third mile. I’m confident that as a team we will get the handling right and come out with a top-five finish.”

Racing kicks off Friday night with three 30-minute practice sessions, practice continues Saturday afternoon before qualifying, a 40-lap B-Main, and the 75-lap Lucas Oil Modified feature closes out the night.

Blake Rogers would like to thank Lucas Oil, FIRM Inc., MGM Design, Jacks Auto Parts, Mitchell’s Merchant Patrol, Pacesetter Home Centers, Arce Race Engines, Dune Company of Yuma, Big W Sales, and Super Clean for their continued support.
