26 Promotions – Casa Grande, AZ – (May 2, 2018) – With the weekend off from the ASCS Southwest tour, Colton Hardy took the Bandit Racing number 41 Non-Wing Micro Sprint down to Casa Grande, Arizona to run with the Power 600 Series on the newly constructed track at Central Arizona Speedway.

“From the few videos I’ve seen and just looking at the track in prior visits, I left like the track could be racy,” said Hardy. “We started on the pole of our heat and won it. Somehow, I ended up seventh in passing points, missing the invert. But, I ended up starting sixth when another car in the invert tagged the field.”

Starting sixth, Hardy quickly made his way to fourth and ran most of the race single file behind the cars in front of him.

“We just couldn’t do anything without moving someone out of the way,” he explained. “After numerous cautions, and the leader flipping, we somehow finished in second. It was a little bit of a disappointing night, but we will take it and move on.”

Hardy returns to the ASCS Southwest Sprint Car Series on Saturday night at Arizona Speedway where he holds a 63-point advantage in the standings.

Colton Hardy would like to thank A & C Remodeling, Engler Machine and Tools, CSI Shocks by Factor One, Schoenfeld Headers, Marks Bolts, Nuts and Surplus, M & J Trophies and Apparel, Bandit Racing, Diamond Mechanical, Hyper Racing, NPS Race Engines, and Highline Clothing Co. for their continued support.
