26 Promotions - Casa Grande, AZ - (April 19, 2018) - Jarrett Martin was back in the Streaker Racing 20AZ Wing Micro on Saturday night at Central Arizona Speedway looking to improve one position from the following week’s runner-up finish.

"Going into Saturday, I knew the track was going to be way different than the day show the week before," he said. "It was pretty heavy all night, so it was tough to pass, and I knew my starting spot in the feature was going to be huge. Starting third in the heat, I knew there was no room to go backward."

Martin advanced one position in the fast-paced heat race, earning enough passing points to make the six-car invert.

"The invert put me fourth to start the feature with Dale (Eliason) Jr in front of me,” Martin explained. "I thought the track might start to go away a little bit by the end of the main so I tightened the car up just a touch. I knew the best shot I had to win was to get by Jr. quickly. We got to first and second pretty early in the race, and I stayed right with him. His timing on lap traffic was a little better than mine, but I was still keeping up, and I got close a few times.”

A late race caution with three to go provided Martin one last shot at the lead.

"The track had stayed pretty good, so I was a little bit tight all race, and I couldn’t make up enough ground after the last restart,” said Martin. "Congrats to Jr. and Dale on a great race, they had the car dialed in, and Jr. drove the wheels off of it."

Martin returns to the Steve Stone Racing, J&J Auto Racing 57 machine on Saturday night at Arizona Speedway with the ASCS Southwest Sprint Cars.

Jarrett Martin would like to thank Streaker Racing, K Corp, Pace Chassis, My Race Pass, Paint by Steve, The Race Shack, Resolute Performance Contracting, and Bell Helmets for their continued support.
