26 Promotions – Casa Grande, AZ – (April 5, 2018) – After a flat right-rear ended a top-five run last week at Arizona Speedway, Colton Hardy entered this week’s ASCS Southwest Region race at Central Arizona Speedway looking to reclaim his spot atop the podium.

“After a disappointing race last week, we were all looking for some redemption,” he said. “After some problems in hot laps, Nate, AJ, Aaron, and Randy got the car dialed in for the heat race and main event.”

Hardy charged from seventh to third in his heat, putting him second in passing points. He re-drew the number two to start the feature on the outside of the front row.

“The track was really technical in three and four and pretty choppy in one and two,” Hardy explained. “Nate nailed the setup for the race. I didn’t get the best initial start but was able to run the top in one and two to take the lead.”

Hardy drove away from the field from there, leading all 25-laps of the green to checker race to pick up his second ASCS Southwest feature win in three events this season.

“I was surprised at how well the track held up. We for sure thought it was going to rubber up in three and four, but it never did. The track was near perfect, so hats off to the Central Arizona track crew,” said Hardy. “I can’t thank everyone enough that helps us. After last week, I think we proved how well our car is right now and last week we were just a victim of circumstances.”

Up next for Hardy is the 305 Shootout this weekend at Southern New Mexico Speedway in a Casey Minks owned 305 Wing Sprint Car.

Colton Hardy would like to thank Diamond Mechanical, A & C Remodeling, Engler Machine and Tools, CSI Shocks by Factor One, Schoenfeld Headers, Marks Bolts, Nuts & Surplus, M & J Trophies and Apparel, Bandit Racing, Borello Race Engines, and Highline Clothing Co. for their continued support.
