26 Promotions – Casa Grande, AZ – (March 27, 2018) – Keelan Matthews scored his first top-five finish in Micro Sprint competition on Saturday night at Central Arizona Speedway.
The Power 600 Series Wing Micro’s kicked off Saturday night with heat race action, where Matthews would advance one position to sixth in the quick eight-lap race.
“The track was nice and tacky for the heat, so we made some minor adjustments before the main,” said Matthews. “We ended up having some engine issues, but we were able to stay out of trouble and pull off a fifth-place finish. I’d like to thank my sister for taking the weekend to come and help out.”
Matthews now has one top five and three top ten finishes in three races this season.
Matthews returns to Non-Wing Micro action on Saturday night for Canyon Speedway Park’s Easter Eggstravaganza.
