26 Promotions – Queen Creek, AZ – (March 21, 2018) – Tye Mihocko raced his way to a third-place finish Saturday night at Arizona Speedway with the USAC Southwest Sprint Car Series.

Mihocko won his heat race from third after the leader ran into issues with a lap car coming to the checkered flag. Mihocko’s third to first run in the heat made him the night’s high point earner, placing him sixth to start the 30-lap feature.

Mihocko quickly worked his way up to third, where he would spend the majority of the race battling Charles Davis Jr. for the second position.

“We wasted no time getting to third and ran behind RJ (Johnson) and Charles for all 30-laps,” said Mihocko. “We started to pick up a little speed on Charles in the closing laps but not enough to throw something at him.”

Mihocko’s podium finish moved him into second-place in USAC Southwest Series standings, seven-points behind RJ Johnson as the series heads to Canyon Speedway Park on March 31st.

Tye Mihocko would like to thank Mears Mechanical, Dave Wilson Reality, Michael Most Trucking, All-Star Catering, Five Star Engines, Red Beard Composites, The Race Shack, and Paint by Steve for their support.
