26 Promotions – Peoria, AZ – (February 1, 2018) – TJ “Hollywood” Wyman raced to his second top ten finish of the year Saturday as the Winter Challenge came to a close over the weekend at Canyon Speedway Park.

“We practiced on Friday night, and we were faster and faster every time, so I was more confident going into Saturday’s race,” said Wyman. “We had some motor problems early in the morning, but had it figured out before hot laps.”

Wyman kicked off round three of the Winter Challenge on Saturday afternoon with a sixth-place finish in his heat. The result placed Wyman on the inside of the seventh row for the start of the feature.

“Going into the main event all I wanted was a top ten finish,” he said. “We started thirteenth and drove it to a tenth-place finish.”

Wyman looked to carry over the momentum from another top ten finish into Sunday’s finale.

After starting fifth and finishing sixth in his heat, Wyman lined up eleventh for the start of the feature.

“In hot laps, the track was grimy, so we couldn’t tell if the car was good or not,” Wyman explained. “Then I was nervous going into the main that the car was going to overheat because it got really hot in the heat race.”

Wyman drove a clean race and avoided a few close calls in front of him to take the checkers and finish out the weekend with a fourteenth-place finish.

Hollywood has the week off before a full week of racing with the Arizona Modified Tour. The AZ Mod Tour runs from February 9th to the 18th with stops at Arizona Speedway, Central Arizona Speedway, Canyon Speedway Park, and Cocopah Speedway.

TJ Wyman would like to thank Tommy’s Garage, Fuga Energy, Industrial Machinery Services, AZ Tubes and Hoses, Dirt Worx Contracting, Silbercom Trucking, the Play for Gold Foundation, the Hands for the Future Foundation, Sutton Signs, Competition Power Sports and Powder Coating, Speedway Lettering, and his mom, dad, brother and sister for their support.
