26 Promotions – Peoria, AZ – (January 26, 2018) – Fourteen-year-old TJ “Hollywood” Wyman has officially made the leap from Quarter Midgets to the IMCA Northern Sport Mod division after making his debut this past Sunday during round two of the Winter Challenge at Canyon Speedway Park.

Nerves, a heavy track, and a lapse of time set Wyman back to start his day.

“The track was really muddy during mud packing, and I was really nervous,” said Wyman. “I made a rookie mistake and got stuck in turn four. Then we were supposed to tag our heat, but we were running late and didn’t make it in time.”

Due to his rookie status and missing his heat, Wyman tagged the field for the start of the feature. Wyman ran the full feature, held his line and picked up valuable track time bringing home an eighth-place finish.

“I gained a lot of experience by being able to stay on the lead lap and completing all twenty laps,” he said. “I am looking forward to getting more seat time and experience this weekend back at Canyon.”

Wyman will be competing for Rookie of the Year honors in the IMCA Northern Sport Mod division this season, the team has a tentative schedule of roughly fifty-five races and is looking to add marketing partners for the 2018 season.

Hollywood returns to action this Saturday and Sunday for the final rounds of the Winter Challenge at Canyon Speedway Park.

TJ Wyman would like to thank Tommy’s Garage, Fuga Energy, Industrial Machinery Services, AZ Tubes and Hoses, Dirt Worx Contracting, Silbercom Trucking, the Play for Gold Foundation, the Hands for the Future Foundation, Sutton Signs, Competition Power Sports and Powder Coating, Speedway Lettering, and his mom, dad, brother and sister for their support.
