26 Promotions – Peoria, AZ – (October 18th, 2017) – Jarrett Martin entered Saturday night’s Octoberfest at Canyon Speedway Park with a slim twenty-three point lead in the Power 600 Series standings over Michael Colegrove with only four races left in the season.

“We started out with a better pill draw than most nights, which put us starting third in heat one,” said Martin. “During wheel packing, it was pretty obvious that the track wasn’t going to be as heavy to start the night as it usually is. But, we got a good read on the car in hot laps so we made some changes for the heat. I knew I had to go forward in the heat, we went a little too far with the changes, but managed to run second.”

Martin was the last car to make the invert, placing him on the pole for the start of Saturday night’s feature.

“My dad and I were trying to get a well-balanced setup on the car and he sort of made the final call on how to set it up,” explained Martin. “The track was just about how we expected and the car was really good. With just a little bit of wing, I was able to keep it handling well all race.”

Martin led the first part of the feature until a restart just before the halfway point of the race.

“There was a mistake on the restart and we fell back to second,” said Martin. “Once we got into lap traffic I thought I might have another chance, but I couldn’t get close and the 41 didn’t slip up. Congrats to my teammate Clay on his third-place run.”

Martin now has four wins, thirteen top fives, and sixteen top tens this season.

Martin returns to Canyon Speedway Park on Saturday for their Race for the Cure event.

Jarrett Martin would like to thank Streaker Racing, K Corp, Pace Chassis, MyRacePass, The Race Shack, Paint by Steve, Resolute Performance Contracting, and Bell Helmets for their continued support.
