26 Promotions – Peoria, AZ – (October 18th, 2017) – Two weeks ago Shane Hinsley earned his first career trip to victory lane during night one of the Hall of Fame Classic at Canyon Speedway Park, he didn’t wait long for his second trip as he swept the weekend in the Modlite division the following night. Last weekend at Arizona Speedway a faulty spark plug ended Hinsley’s night early. With a brand-new set of plugs in, Hinsley returned to Canyon Speedway Park Saturday night looking for his third consecutive win at the one-third mile oval.

After starting third and finishing second in his heat, Hinsley drew the twelve pill in the feature redraw, lining him up on the outside of the sixth row for the start of the feature.

“I took my time, at the start of the main, passing cars and trying different lines,” Hinsley explained. “We fell back a few laps, but then it was game time and I made my charge forward. Luckily, we had a few cautions to bunch everyone back up. On the last restart, I was in fifth with no tear offs left, we ran a few laps and I caught Brenden Priest with about five to go and ran behind him planning my move. The car was super tight in turns three and four, but good in one and two, so I knew I would have to make the pass there. With three laps to go I put a slide job on Brenden to take the lead.”

Hinsley led the final three laps of the feature to pick up his third win in two weeks at Canyon Speedway Park.

Hinsley now has three wins, four top fives, and six top tens this season.

Hinsley returns to action on November 17th and 18th at Central Arizona Speedway.

Shane Hinsley would like to thank his mom and dad, Brad and Leanne Weiss, Crawford’s Auto Repair, Russ McDowell, and ODS Components for their continued support.
