26 Promotions – Peoria, AZ – (September 20th, 2017) – Paul Martin entered Saturday night’s race at Canyon Speedway Parking looking to build off of two top five’s at Show Low Speedway Park two weeks ago.

“I had a good feeling going into Saturday night’s race,” said Martin. “I basically used the two-day show in Show Low as a test session and realized changes needed to be made. Hamblin Motorsports sent me a new set of carbs, I changed fuel pressure, bars, and rear stagger. After thrashing all day on the car, I was late to the track, but I drew the twenty in pill draw, hoping to steal some magic from my cousin Jarrett.”

Martin’s night didn’t get off to a promising start as a flat left rear tire ended his hot lap session before it got started.

Martin was able to brush off the mishap for his heat race where he’d finish second from third, earning enough passing points to place him on the outside of the front row for the start of the twenty-five lap feature event.

“Sutton had a great start and I filed into second, realizing I was a bit loose,” Martin explained. “I made one mistake on the third lap and went wide into one and was passed by Mason Keefer. I changed my line and a few laps later the leaders hooked bumpers off turn four. I made my move into one and passed into the lead on the outside down the back straight and into three, realizing I needed to lead off turn four.”

Martin assumed the lead on the restart and pulled out to a half straightaway lead.

“I heard no pressure from behind me as I was given the halfway signal,” he said. “The car was fast! With no mistakes in the lead, I brought home my second win in a row at Canyon Speedway. Thank you to all my partners that make this possible and thank you to the Power 600 Series sponsors.”

Martin now has two wins, six top five’s, and twelve top ten’s.

Martin is back in action on September 29th and 30th at Canyon Speedway Park with the Power 600 Series as part of the Hall of Fame Classic.

Paul Martin would like to thank Hilton Auto Glass, The Dennis Gile Quarterback Academy, Optiv Security Consultants, Don Jose’ Mexican Food, Forterra Pipe & Precast, Memory Lane Customs, Matco Tools, and Sutton Signs & Apparel for their continued support.
