26 Promotions – Peoria, AZ – (September 20th, 2017) – Clay Sprau returned to the seat of his 21AZ, Streaker Racing, Micro Sprint this weekend after a six-week break from competition.

Sprau’s started fifth in his heat and moved up and finished fourth after the leader got tangled up with a lap car. The result lined him up eighth for the start of the feature.

“The car was good in the heat, so I made small adjustments for the main,” Sprau explained. “In the first couple of laps of the main, I knew I didn’t go far enough with the adjustments, but the car was still decent. I was really fast through one and two, but through three and four it was like I was on ice.”

Sprau was still able to make his way up to sixth by mid-race, in the closing laps Sprau traded fifth place back and forth and claimed the position on the final lap as a couple of cars got together coming to the checkers for his third top five finish of the season.

Sprau will be back in action on September 29th and 30th running Non-Wing at Canyon Speedway Park.

Clay Sprau would like to thank K Corp, Resolute Performance Contracting, Paint by Steve, and The Race Shack for their continued support.
