26 Promotions – Show Low, AZ – (September 5th, 2017) – Paul Martin made the four-hour trek up to Arizona’s high country this weekend for the Wing and Non-Wing Micro races on Saturday and Sunday night at Show Low Speedway Park.

Martin started and finished third in his heat, just missing the feature redraw on Saturday night and would line up sixth for the start of the feature.

“The track surface was challenging on Saturday night and changed every minute,” said Martin. “I was able to run the top in the main and moved into fourth after a mid-race restart. I was running down second and third as they nearly got together and was forced to make an evasive maneuver to miss third after coming off the wall in turn two. I ran it into turn one and two too hard and slid up to the wall, making slight contact with the right rear and saved it on the run to the checkers to finish fourth.”

Martin entered Sunday night’s Non-Wing race looking to build off the solid top five run. He started on the pole in his heat, but missed the setup and fell back to fifth, which would line him up ninth for the feature.

“I missed the setup a bit on Sunday and survived a rough, slick surface to bring it home fifth,” he said. “Congratulations to Jarrett and Dale Jr on their wins. And thank you to the staff at Show Low Speedway Park and all my partners for making this possible.”

Martin now has one win, five top five’s, and eleven top ten’s on the year.

Martin returns to action on September 16th with the Power 600 Series at Canyon Speedway Park.

Paul Martin would like to thank Hilton Auto Glass, The Dennis Gile Quarterback Academy, Optiv Security Consultants, Don Jose’ Mexican Food, Forterra Pipe & Precast, Memory Lane Customs, and Sutton Signs & Apparel for their continued support.
