26 Promotions – Show Low, AZ – (August 17th, 2017) – AJ Miller rallied to a sixth-place finish Friday night at Show Low Speedway Park after falling back to tenth in the early stages of the feature.

Miller was excited to make his first appearance at the one-fourth mile race track and knew as soon as he hit the track he was in for an exciting night.

“As soon as we went out for hot laps I knew it was going to be a fun track and that we were pretty close on the setup,” said Miller. “The track was hooked up and locked down all night, which was way different than I am normally used to.”

Starting sixth in his heat, Miller charged to a third-place finish, just missing the feature redraw.

“I started fifth in the main and as the night went on I was chasing the car trying to get it freed up as the moisture from all the rain earlier in the day started coming back up as the night went on,” explained Miller. “We managed to stay out of the messes and fought a really locked down car all night and fell back to around tenth, but fought our way back to a sixth-place finish.”

Miller tallied his seventh top ten finish of the season on Friday, unfortunately, Saturday’s scheduled event was canceled.

“After getting everything cleaned and the wings on for Saturday’s race, a late afternoon storm rolled through and mother nature won the battle, which was very disappointing, but I can’t wait to get back up there again,” said Miller. “I owe a huge thanks to Bill and Colton Hardy for hauling my stuff up there for me and my dad for coming up and being the best crew chief I could ask for!”

AJ Miller would like to thank A & C Remodeling, Elite Technical Coatings, Sutton Signs, Derek Williams Designs, and NAPA Auto & Truck Parks for their continued support.
