26 Promotions – Phoenix, AZ – (April 7th, 2017) – Billy Chester III, an ASCS Southwest Series veteran, will be making his 3rd and 4th appearances with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series this weekend in Yuma and Queen Creek, Arizona. This will be his first time running with the series since his rookie year in 2006.
Chester is looking forward to hitting the track in his 5c Triple X machine at Cocopah Speedway for Friday night’s Yuma Valley Showdown.
“It is one of my favorite tracks in the state,” said Chester. “We’ve had top three’s down there before with the local guys, so we’re hoping for a good run this weekend.”
Following Friday night’s event, Chester and his team will make the three-and-a-half-hour trek to Queen Creek for Arizona Speedway’s Arizona Desert Shootout. A place he has run many times with the ASCS Southwest Region.
“We have a lot of laps there,” he said. “We know where the cars at, we have a good base setup and hopefully we’ll be fast out of the box.”
Chester along with his old boss and good friend, Ben Gregg, have partnered up to run select shows throughout 2017, including this weekend’s World of Outlaw races, for what they have dubbed the “Fun Tour.”
“Without the support of Ben, my parents, my brother and my girlfriend I wouldn’t be doing what I love to do,” he said.
