26 Promotions – Peoria, AZ – (April 6th, 2017) – Dylan Cappello is heading south to Tucson, Arizona this weekend for the second race of the Lucas Oil Modified Series presented by Ram Mounts.

“I definitely enjoy racing in Tucson,” said Cappello. “It’s a race that every year offers at least two grooves to race on and it isn’t rare to see three wide battles on restarts late in the race.”

Following up his 4th place finish in Lake Havasu City, at a track that he’s admittedly struggled at in the past, Cappello is confident in his car and team heading into the weekend.

“It’s a great confidence boost to start the year off with a good finish and get the ball rolling early,” he said. “We know we can show up anywhere and win when we are on our game. It all comes down to executing and getting all the puzzle pieces to fall in line.”

There are two pieces to that puzzle the Hitman will be focusing on during practice.

“Working on improving my qualifying effort is a goal of mine this weekend. The track is also super hard on tires so a slightly poor handling car early will be amplified at the end of the race. We are going to focus our efforts on getting a balanced racecar from center off as well as being consistent on the long run.”

Putting those pieces together will help Cappello return to the front of the field where he was battling for a top 3 finish last year before being involved in a late race caution resulting in a 25th place finish.

“We’ve had a lot of speed in the past there but can’t seem to put it all together,” he said. “We are ready though to back up our career best finish at Havasu 95 with a career best finish at Tucson Speedway.”

Dylan would like to thank Ram Mounts, Sears Garage Doors, Spray Nine, Driven Motorsports, Team RBK, Pro Power Racing Engines, Total Power Batteries, Roger Seymour Photography and Bilstein Shocks for their continued support.
