Dylan Cappello Heads to Lake Havasu City for the Start of the Lucas Oil Modified Championship Schedule

26 Promotions – Peoria, AZ – (March 9th, 2017) – Dylan Cappello returns to action this weekend at Havasu 95 Speedway in Lake Havasu City, AZ for the start of the 10 race Lucas Oil Modified Series Championship schedule.

Open practice on Friday night will kick off the weekend racing festivities at the quarter-mile track with Saturday’s racing action getting underway in the afternoon with a two-and-a-half-hour practice session that will be followed by qualifying, a “B” Main and then the 100-lap Feature will close out the night.

Cappello opened his season last month in Bakersfield, CA with the Spray Nine Race of Champions at Kern County Raceway.

“I’m feeling really good,” said Cappello about heading into this weekend. “We got all the bugs worked out in Kern and we are ready to rumble.”

Cappello set fast times in both practice sessions, qualified 3rd and was running 6th before a carb issue ended his night early last month in Bakersfield.

“The carb won’t be an issue this weekend,” he said. “We are running a two barrel instead of our usual four barrel due to the smaller size track. I’m confident that we won’t have that problem again, though.”

The Hitman has had mixed results throughout the years in Lake Havasu but feels they are progressing in the right direction.

“Our biggest key to success is to be as patient on the throttle as possible,” he said. “And not to overdrive the corner.”

Cappello picked up a top 5 the last time the series visited Havasu 95 Speedway in October. Make sure to keep up to date with Dylan this and every race weekend through his Facebook and Twitter pages.

Dylan would like to thank Ram Mounts, Sears Garage Doors, Spray Nine, Driven Motorsports, Team RBK, Pro Power Racing Engines, Total Power Batteries, Roger Seymour Photography and Bilstein Shocks for all their support.
