Power 600 Micro Sprints Set to Kick Off 2017 at Canyon Speedway Park

26 Promotions – Phoenix, AZ - (March 3rd, 2017) – After a successful inaugural season, the Power 600 Series gets the 2017 season underway this Saturday at Canyon Speedway Park.

Reigning series Champion Paul Martin will begin his title defense Saturday and will have a stout field of competitors looking to make their run at the title. The 2015 Arizona Micro Sprint Champion and 2016 runner up Kyle Huttenhow, 2016 Rookie of the Year Dale Eliason Jr, 2014 Arizona Non-Wing Champion Jarrett Martin, 2016 Feature winners Ray Herrera and Tyler Merrill, as well as Mason Keefer, Mark Morin, AJ Miller and Ryan Henesey who all finished last year top 10 in points will look to start their season’s strong.

The Restricted Micros will also kick off their 2017 season Saturday as Stephen Simpson III will defend his 2016 title in the growing division that saw 4 different Main Event winners in 2016.

Pit gates open at 4, spectator gates open at 5 with racing action getting underway at 7 on Saturday night. There is a mandatory driver’s meeting at the Power 600 Series trailer directly following Canyon’s driver meeting.
